Each session puts you in a room with practitioners working at the edge of the field. Come with the question your students keep asking that you cannot yet answer well.
Each core session runs twice. Attend whichever date suits your calendar.
Fellowship records that you engaged seriously with current practice and brought it back to your teaching. It is held for life, and it names you among the faculty shaping this discipline.

Fellowship is conferred by WDSAI. The conferral document is co-signed by DASCA and ARTiBA to attest that conferral occurred under the Faculty Practice Standards they jointly develop and maintain.
Fellows are entered in the Register of Fellows and may use the designation for life, under the Fellowship Terms.
The FWDSAI designation is held for life and may be used after your name in academic and professional contexts.
Your entry in the Register of Fellows is maintained with the councils and remains verifiable at any time.

A place to think on paper. The Exchange gives you two hours in a room with practitioners; the journal is where those two hours turn into something your students actually feel.
Four movements, worked through in your own time.
Write for yourself, not for review. The value is in the noticing, and nobody grades these pages.
Prefer the specific over the general. “My capstone brief assumes clean data” is worth more than “we should modernize the curriculum.”
Write within a day of the session, while the discomfort is still fresh. That discomfort is the useful part.
Revisit the previous entry before each new session. Progress shows up in what you stop needing to write down.
Only you. Your journal is stored so that the program team's console cannot reach it, and neither can the Exchange's own software. It is not that we choose not to look. There is nothing there to look with.
Your Implementation Notes are the part of your work the panel reads. These pages are not.

The FWDSAI badge unlocks on conferral, once all four core areas are complete.
Your engagement should be visible where it counts. On completing the cycle, WDSAI writes to your Dean and institutional leadership acknowledging your participation, and conferred Fellows are announced to their institutions.

Implementation Notes are the formal record of your engagement with each core area. The Exchange panel relies on them when confirming completion of the Fellowship requirements, and they are retained with your entry in the Register of Fellows.

Be specific. Name the course, module, brief, or rubric your change touches.
Concise is acceptable. A few considered paragraphs serve the record better than a page of summary.
Write in your own professional voice. The note carries your name in the record.
Your notes belong to you. They form the record used to confirm completion of the Fellowship requirements, and themes across all faculty inform what each cycle covers.
