The WDSAI Faculty Excellence Exchange connects faculty from WDSAI-approved institutions with leading practitioners shaping Data Science and Artificial Intelligence across industries globally.
Through expert-led sessions, faculty gain direct exposure to emerging technologies, workplace practices, and evolving capability requirements, helping them strengthen curriculum, teaching, and student preparation for the future of work.
Faculty who successfully complete the Faculty Excellence Exchange may become eligible for Fellowship of the World Data Science & AI Initiative, a distinguished professional recognition for educators advancing the quality and relevance of Data Science and AI education.
The Fellowship recognizes faculty who demonstrate that insights gained through the Exchange have been meaningfully applied to curriculum, teaching, assessment, or student learning within their own institutions.
Eligibility for conferral is assessed by an academic and industry panel against the Faculty Practice Standards, jointly developed and maintained by DASCA and ARTiBA. The review considers both sustained participation in the Exchange and evidence of academic practice.
Successful faculty are conferred the designation of Fellow of the World Data Science & AI Initiative. Faculty at an earlier stage of their academic careers may be considered for the Associate designation. Each Fellow receives an official conferral document, a verifiable digital badge, and inclusion in the WDSAI Register of Fellows.

The WDSAI Faculty Excellence Exchange is exclusively available to faculty members of institutions approved by the World Data Science & AI Initiative (WDSAI).
Faculty may participate only through an official institutional nomination or an invitation issued through their approved institution. Individual applications from faculty members who are not associated with a WDSAI-approved institution are not accepted.
Nominated faculty may complete their registration after receiving the official invitation or nomination confirmation from their institution.

WDSAI will contact them with information about the Exchange and explain how their institution can join the World Data Science & AI Initiative, enabling eligible faculty to participate through institutional nomination.
A referral is an introduction, not a nomination or confirmation of admission. Participation becomes available once the faculty member’s institution is approved by WDSAI and formally nominates them for the Exchange.
